| HARMONY HOME (RESPITE CARE CENTRE KOTTAPADY, NEAR GURUVAYUR: |

This is the first ever of its kind in India and started functioning on 27th August 2005. This center provides round the clock care to people with dementia. This center provides mainly respite care service. Day Care service is also available here. This center has been developed as a model for rest of the country. |

| MALABAR HARMONY HOME, CALICUT: |
|
A respite care center, inaugurated on 1st April 2007, provides round the clock care; both long-term care and respite care service. Day care is also functioning here. This care center is situated in the heart of the city in a quite area away from all the distractions of a busy city. |

COCHIN HARMONY HOME, KUMBALANGHI: |
|
We have identified a place at Kumbalanghi to start a Full Time Care Centre for Dementia, which we think will be functioning from April 2010 onwards with a capacity of accommodating 10 clients at first stage. |

| DAY CARE CENTRE, PALARIVATTOM, COCHIN: |
|
This is the first project of ARDSI, Started in the year 1995. Now it is functioning as a full -fledged care centre covering over 25 Kms radial distance in the urban area of Cochin. This center provides training to professionals and also guidance service to the carers. Home care service is also functioning for those who need regular care and supervision at home. |

| MEMORY CLINIC, COCHIN: |
The first memory clinic in the country was started in association with Indira Gandhi Cooperative Hospital, Kadavanthara, Cochin in 1999. The memory clinic has been set up for evaluation and diagnostic purposes. Now there are nearly 100 memory clinics in various parts of India. |

| CARERS SUPPORT GROUP & COUNSELING SERVICES: |
Care giver’s meetings, individual and group counseling, lectures on various methods of care giving and related issues, are being conducted on regular basis. |

| SCHOOL OF COMMUNITY GERIATRIC CARE TRAINING, COCHIN: |
One year certificate course in Community Geriatric Care Training recognized by Christian Medical Association of India, trains students in geriatric care with special focus in dementia care. |

| CERTIFICATE COURSE IN CARE GIVING, COCHIN: |
Ten months certificate course in Care giving recognized by Rehabilitation council of India is being conducted with the support from HelpAge India. Each batch trains 20 students in various disability fields with special emphasis on children with disability and dementia. |

| TRAINING PROGRAMMES OF NISD: |
In collaboration with National Institute of Social Defence, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India, various training programmes are also being conducted here. |

| ORIENTATION TRAINING PROGRAMME IN DEMENTIA CARE: |
Orientation training programme on dementia care for Managers of Old age homes are also held here. |
|
| CERTIFICATE COURSE IN GERIATRIC CARE, COCHIN: |
This is a certificate course in geriatric care for six months duration which trains 30 candidates in the field of care of elderly. |

| RESEARCH: |
Two studies have been conducted on the prevalence of dementia in rural and urban areas of Cochin. Another study with the support of ICMR in Thrissur district of Kerala has been completed.10/66 dementia research is being conducted in nearly 8 centres. |
|
| AWARENESS PROGRAMMES: |
National level conferences, Seminars and work-shops, awareness through visual, audio and print media, commemoration of World Alzheimer’s Day through ARDSI chapters, social work and nursing colleges. |
