Six-Month Certificate Course in Geriatric Care 2012-13
First of all let us thank you for your support to our endevours in the past years. ARDSI School of Geriatric Care, an initiative of Alzheimer?s and Related Disorders Society of India is a Pioneer Institute in Geriatric Care since 1993. All thoughout these years we have been conducting various Certificate and Diploma Courses in Geriatric Care approved and supported by various Institutes like CMAI, RCI, Southern Cross Care Australia, Alzheimer?s Scotland, NISD, etc. The ARDSI School of Geriatric Care Cochin is very proud to conduct the fifth batch of the course at this time. Now we are very proud to announce the notification to our the fifth batch of the Six-Month Certificate Course in Geriatric Care 2012-13 (Full Time) recognized by National Institute of Social Defence (NISD), an Autonomous Body under Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. ARDSI is the only center conducting NISD courses in Kerala among eight centers all over India. There is no Course Fee. This course has been conceptualized to develop a good cadre of frontline geriatric caregivers (Geriatric animators) and Supervisory Level Personnel to meet the demand for providing skill based, field oriented trained personnel in Age Care in NGO Sector (National as well as International), Government/Corporate Sector, Academic Institutions, etc. The course covers subjects like Social Gerontology, Basic Geriatrics, Applied Geriatrics, and Geriatric Nursing. Kindly encourage the possible candidates in your area to apply for this course before 11th January, 2013
Memory Walk being organized by ARDSI Hyderabad Deccan
The theme of World Alzheimer?s Day 2012 is ?Dementia: Living Together?. The Memory Walk 2012 is Hyderabad's largest public event to raise awareness and funds for Dementia care, support and research ? and it calls on people of all ages to take action in the fight. Research says that it is possible to keep our brain healthy and reduce the risk of dementia by staying physically active. So please join us in the walk in ?Remembering those who cannot remember?.

World Alzheimer's Day 2012
Indo-UK Workshop on Elder Care
I have great pleasure in welcoming you to the Indo-UK Workshop on Elder Care, a joint initiative between the Voluntary Health Services in Chennai and the Royal College of Physicians, Edinburg, under the aegis of the new Indo-British Health Initiative. Over 2 days we will discuss key clinical problem areas in the care of the elder, discussing multi-disciplinary perspectives and developing the roadmap to delivering comprehensive care for the elderly in India. The workshop will have as its lead speakers eminent faculty from the Royal College of Physicians-Edinburgh, complemented by a galaxy of Indian experts representing major clinical disciplines. I request you to disseminate this information to all the member of ARDSI as this conference will surely be an enlightening one in the subject.
